A Letter
Dear friends & colleagues,
As you know, Savoir-Faire was two weeks away from merging with MacPherson’s when the Covid pandemic turned all our worlds upside down. During such uncertainty, the merger was interrupted for good reason as our focus shifted to keeping our families safe and healthy, following the best possible health protocols, and minimizing disruption of service to you: our business family.
We are incredibly proud with how our Savoir-Faire Team responded, quickly setting up remote work capabilities. Our European containers landing in California still needed to be processed and existing orders fulfilled. We remain grateful to our fantastic and devoted operations team who were willing to work in the warehouse. We set up “social-distanced” shipping stations and doubled down on janitorial crews. Thanks to our wonderful staff working six days a week, Savoir-Faire made it through these initial difficult days.
A few months went by and as Covid cases slowed down, many of your stores were able to reopen. Under these hopeful conditions, MacPherson’s and Savoir-Faire resumed the merger project—a combination of resources that will be finalized by November 20, 2020. All of us will help make the transition as smooth as possible and strive to answer all of your questions. And please be reassured that after the acquisition, all of your prices will be maintained and offered by MacPherson’s.
For Pierre and I, this is a big “page turning” event. Together, we created Savoir-Faire 40 years ago! Of course the transition will be bittersweet, but we are very excited about this new phase for Savoir-Faire: a bigger team to promote our Brands, much more robust technology and operational structure, and great people to work alongside. We believe with all our hearts this merger will bring to you the best of both worlds.
Thank you for your support during all these wonderful years.
Cheers,
Maureen Labro
